I’m taking a break from my weekly ‘Teacher Tuesday‘ because this lady is on Thanksgiving Break and the last thing I want to think about is what to wear to work next week. I’m sure you are all okay if I postpone another button-down and pencil skirt duo outfit by a few days. What I am going this week, however, is catching up on cleaning around the apartment, running errands, and getting a jump start on my Christmas shopping.
Such a heavy duty list of chores requires an outfit that is up for the task. I was looking for something that was super comfy, looked put together, but I could still wear for movie night with David. Since sweatpants and my pajamas only matched one of my three criteria, I needed to look for another option.
Enter this gorgeous purple sweater from Halogen. The beautiful lavender color drew me in, but there are so many little things that made me stay. For one thing, the material is just so soft! This was such a pleasant surprise when you consider the $59 price tag. I don’t know about you, but I’ve had a lot of itchier sweaters that couldn’t wait to take off for a lot more money. Second, the bow detail on the cuff is such a fun little extra. With the holidays just around the corner, how perfect is that?
My favorite thing about this sweater is all of the length it gives you. I would definitely call this tunic length and it would rock with a pair of leggings. With that being said, if you are looking for a more of a fitted sweater, fell free to size down. The arms and shoulders were equally as forgiving as the length so, you won’t have to worry about it being too snug. Because of the split hem, I decided to go for the famous half tuck. This is always my go-to style when playing around with oversized tops. Trust me y’all, this sweater is a must have and comes in eight colors ranging from classic navy or black to a nice, seasonal burnt orange.
This sweater will make a great holiday gift whether is be for a loved one or just for yourself. Stock up now!
