Happy mid-week everyone! I just wanted to take the time give some wedding updates. So much has happened and we still have 220 days to go. I really just wish the big day would get here sooner.
- We’ve picked out our wedding bands. There is something about this that made everything seem so real. Like, yes we really are getting married. I’m so excited about my band. I just think it’s absolutely perfect in every way. I’m also over-the-moon excited for David to start rocking his bling. It may be for the selfish reason that ladies will stop flirting with him when we’re out on the town, but I’m sure that’s still a viable reason.
- We participated in Pre-Cana counseling. This is a requirement to get married in the Catholic Church. At first, I was extremely apprehensive because I didn’t fully know what to expect. I was preparing for worst case scenarios where we’d have to do trust falls and talk about the intimate details of our relationship in front of everyone. Yikes and no thank you! I’m happy to say that we actually walked away really enjoying the experience. There was so much valuable information shared about communication and finances that I can’t wait to share with you soon. My favorite part of the day was the ‘testament’ from the two couples that had been married for more than forty years. It was so heart-warming to see their genuine love for each other.
- We picked out our Save the Dates. Hunting down everyone’s addresses can be such a huge task. Make sure you give yourself plenty of time. I suggest recruiting your fiancé or another family member to take a little bit of the stress off of yourself. As far as our Save the Dates, I’m so jazzed about them! They are the exact look I was going for and think they’ll work perfectly with the formal invitations that I’ve had my eye on.
Okay, now that I’ve rambled on, I wanted to really quick share this awesome sweater dress from BP. Maybe its the cold snap, but I’ve been loving any over-sized sweater that I can get my hands on. The beautiful ivory would be perfect for any wintertime bridal shower or bachelorette. Keep in mind, it runs a little big, but that just means you can accessorize with a fun. I love how it looks with this leopard print belt from Target.
Love from Florida,
