I am trucking along with my New Years Eve approved looks with this stunner of a pencil skirt. If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you may already know that I have a certain soft spot for sporting pencil skirts. I tend to wear them often in the workplace to feel extra confident and think they are one of the most flattering pieces a lady can own.
It’s not very often I get to wear a pencil skirt for a night on the town. They sometimes look too “corporate” and don’t mesh well with downtown St. Pete’s laidback culture. Cut to this must have piece from Halogen. It is simply dripping in gorgeous silver sequins that screams New Years Eve. Not to mention this skirt is just as flattering as it’s non-sequin counterpart. It’s going to be tempting not to wear this gem to work. If you work somewhere that is 100% okay with head to toe sequins, drop my name please!
To keep this outfit going strong, I added my favorite basic tank top from ASOS. It’s normally the perfect easy-breezy top to throw on and go. Paired with a cardigan and jeans, it is a staple for work or running around town. But, tucked in to a pencil skirt and dashed with a layer of plum lip stick from Stila, the look instantly becomes demure and classic. This grey Kate Spade clutch/crossbody (a gift from Santa) is just the right sized bag to keep all of my affects together into the early hours of 2018.
Comment below how you’ll be ringing in 2018! For my St. Pete gals, you may just run into me.
Love from Florida,
